Review: Crescendo by Becca Fitpatrick

My Rating: 5 Stars

Summary from Goodreads:  Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but atleast she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Path hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.

Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperatly searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

My Review:
WOW. That pretty much sums up the entire book with just one word don't you think? I just can't believe I have to wait so long for the next installment, because the ending killed me. Stupid cliffhanger ending. They get me worked up every single time, which, I guess, is the point.

At times, I was pretty frustrated with Patch, just like Nora was. But he does what he does to keep her safe, because he really does love her. And then Scott is thrown into the mix. Gosh, I wanted to slap him a few times. Okay, more than a few, But something kept nagging at the back of my mind saying he wasn't all bad, and he did end up being a not-so-bad bad guy. I get the feeling that there might possibly be a love triangle in the next book. Maybe. Hopefully. *wink-wink*

So now I will try to wait very very patiently for the next book. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.
