My Review:
* I am voluntarily reviewing complimentary Advance Readers Copy of this book. All of the thoughts and opinions that are expressed below are completely and totally %100 percent mine, and I have not been compensated in any way for this review.*

I thought this book was a really promising start to a series, and really my only complaint was the fact that it went SO fast, and was SO short. Seriously, I read this book in just a few hours, and just when things were getting interesting BAM it's over, and now I have to impatiently wait for the second book

It had a unique plot that I have not read a thousand times over, and all the characters are interesting and I want to get to know them all better. I definitely see how Terra will be able to grow and come out of her shell a little more, especially now that she's friends with the boys, and learning more about her powers and what they mean. And I'm also excited to be able to get to see her stand up for herself more, and she gains confidence in herself.

I liked Terra, and how relateable she felt to me. She's a shy, and a little bit insecure, but when she knows what she wants she can't be swayed.

The boys were... Uh... *SWOON*

Yes, they were amazing and drool-worthy. I'm not sure what I think about Sol, but the others have definitely won my heart several times over.

I liked how they all had their little moments with Terra, and how nothing felt rushed

There is some romance, but in this book, it takes a definite backseat to everything else that is happening (which is fine, it allows you to get to know the characters before things get hot and heavy)

I am super super excited for this series, and to see what happens next. There were a few plot twists that I didn't see coming, but now I'm curious to see where that takes the story in the next book.

 Summary From Goodreads:
They came from another world to protect her. Now it’s her destiny to save them …

Tori King is a normal senior in high school. Head over heels in love with her childhood sweetheart, she is busy making plans for college when a chance encounter with an alien bounty hunter turns her world upside down. Now, she’s experiencing terrifying changes and developing supernatural abilities that leave her questioning her entire existence.

Then the arrival of four hot new guys at school has everyone talking—especially when they become fixated on Tori, following her wherever she goes. She can’t shake them off, and as they grow closer, she finds herself drawn to all four of them in ways she cannot explain.

When they finally reveal their true identity, and why they’re here for her, she discovers everything she thought she knew about herself is a lie.

Because there is nothing normal about Tori King.

And she’s about to discover exactly how underrated normal is.

This mind-bending alien reverse harem series is only suitable for readers aged seventeen and older due to language and mature content.

My Review:
First, let me start off by saying that I am voluntarily reviewing complimentary Advance Readers Copy of this book. All of the thoughts and opinions that are expressed below are completely and totally %100 percent mine, and I have not been compensated in any way for this review.

Second:

I’m not normally a big fan of sci-fi/alien books, because they tend to keep my attention for a very before I move onto something else. There’s only one book series with alien characters that I’ve finished, and that’s the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout, because *SWOONS* But I still signed up to be an ARC reader because something was telling me that I should…

And boy am I ever so glad that I did.

This book jumps right into the action. Only a few pages in and our heroine is fighting off a bad guy to save not only herself, but her best friends as well.

It was nice watching Tori, and how hew character grew throughout the book. I feel like she handled all of the things that were thrown at her very well, and she stayed pretty composed, even when she had absolutely no idea what was going on.

I liked the guys, and their relationship with Tori (yes, even though Dane when he was being a jerk), although everything in me screamed in protest, because I didn’t like the way their bond made her so weak in the knees and dependent on the boys. But I liked how she tried to not let it stop her from telling them off when she didn’t like what they said/did. I also liked the way they were so supportive of her, and how they didn’t make her feel bad or rush her into anything that she wasn’t ready for.
And though this book is not all sex, drugs, and rock and roll, it’s definitely got its steamy moments, so even though the characters are 17 and in high school still, I would say that it’s definitely a NA book over YA. And that’s something that’s clearly stated when you read the summary on Goodreads, but this is me reiterating that, just because.

They (the boys) all had qualities that made me fall in love with them, but I think Beckett is my favorite (for the time being at least) or maybe Cooper... Hmmmmm. This is harder than I thought it would be.

I loved Tori’s relationship with her parents, and how supportive and caring they were. That’s hard to find sometimes in books, so I always appreciate the times when it’s able to be pulled off so well.

There were several plot twists that I didn't see coming, and holy moly that ending especially. I wasn't ready for it to end the way it did, and now I have to wait forever for the next one to come out *sad face*

All in all, this book had me sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails and wondering what was going to happen next, and it also had me swooning from the sexylicious boys. This is definitely a book that I would recommend to fans of the Lux series, or fans of the Reverse Harem Genre in general.
